Who operates this site

Crossborder Tax Tool is a self-check web app for ecommerce tax orientation. For product support or privacy questions, contact yangkaisun40@gmail.com. For payment receipts and refund processing, Lemon Squeezy may also provide order-specific support links.

What we do not collect

There is no account system and no application database for questionnaire answers.

Your questionnaire answers are kept in browser storage for page navigation and sent to temporary server endpoints to generate the free result and unlock the paid report. The server does not persist raw answers, buyer email addresses, license keys, payment card data, or payment records.

Please do not type personal, sensitive, or confidential business information into feedback fields.

Browser storage

The app may use browser storage to keep your answers and interface preferences on your device so the free result can keep working as you navigate.

After a successful paid unlock, the browser stores a Lemon Squeezy license instance id. This lets the same browser regenerate reports during the license month without storing the license key itself.

You can clear this data by clearing site data in your browser.

Analytics

We use PostHog in privacy mode to understand whether visitors complete the free check and whether the paid report flow works.

The custom event properties we add are limited to locale, page path, and small enum values such as feedback reason. We do not send sales figures, market mix, questionnaire answers, license keys, buyer email, or free-text feedback to analytics.

PostHog may process technical usage data such as IP address, device information, and pages viewed as part of providing analytics infrastructure.

Payments and license keys

Checkout, payment processing, receipts, refunds, and license issuance are handled by Lemon Squeezy.

When you submit a license key, the app sends it to Lemon Squeezy to activate or validate the browser's license instance. The app does not store the key.

Service providers

The site is hosted on Vercel. Analytics are provided by PostHog. Checkout and license instance validation are provided by Lemon Squeezy.

Those providers process data under their own policies and infrastructure controls.

Your choices

You can use the calculator and free check without creating an account.

You can block analytics scripts with browser settings or privacy tools, and you can clear browser storage at any time.
